Merxin becomes first business on the Enterprise Park

Posted on 06 02 2025

Exciting things are happening at the King’s Lynn Enterprise Park and we’re celebrating a major milestone! Merxin, the fast-growing pharmaceutical company, is the first business to move into our brand-new business units, marking the next stage of their expansion and keeping skilled jobs right here in West Norfolk.

A perfect fit for a growing business

Merxin, a specialist in designing and manufacturing innovative inhalers, started its journey in the King’s Lynn Innovation Centre — an incubator space built to help ambitious start-ups to scale. As the company grew, so did its need for a larger, tailored workspace.

Now in their new home on the Enterprise Park, Merxin has expanded into a modern, purpose-built office space and increased capacity for research, development, and production.

“This new space marks a major milestone for us,” said Graham Purkins, Chief Technology Officer at Merxin. “Having a facility tailored to our needs will allow us to expand further, invest in cutting-edge research, and create more high-skilled jobs in West Norfolk.”

A hub for innovation and growth

The new business units on the King’s Lynn Enterprise Park — two 5,000ft² offices and two 10,000ft² light industrial spaces — are part of a £7m investment by the Borough Council in partnership with Norfolk County Council. This strategic development aims to provide high-quality, well-connected commercial space for businesses that are ready to scale.

“Our investment in these new units meets a local need for modern business space,” said Councillor Simon Ring, Deputy Leader at the borough council. “It’s fantastic to see Merxin take the first unit, proving that King’s Lynn Enterprise Park is the right place for ambitious businesses to grow.”
